Ghanaian youngster and defensive midfielder Lord Hilary Adabo is set to wrap his move from Ghana Premier League side FC Samartex, ahead of a transfer to two-time CAF Champions League winners Asante Kotoko FC, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

Samartex reached an agreement with Asante Kotoko for Adabo’s move, with the latter set to pay €33,000 as compensation for the one-year remainder of his contract. Additionally, the player will have his medicals next week, and will subsequently sign a three-year contract.

An exclusive source at Asante Kotoko has revealed to Footy-Africa that the player has assented to the move, following the agreement of the two clubs. Subsequently, the 21-year-old will receive a monthly salary of €4,400 with The Porcupine Warriors.

“Asante Kotoko and Samartex agreed to a deal on Friday with a payment of €33,000, and he’ll do his medical next week before signing the three-year contract. It’s a big leap for the player, as he is assured of continental football in the coming season. It’s a done deal now, and he’ll be officially unveiled next week,” the source exclusively revealed to Footy-Africa.

Last season, Adabo was one of Samartex’s most important players, as he played a massive 36 matches across all competitions. He joined them from Real Tamale FC in Ghana, where he had made a decent 30 appearances.

At the international stage, the budding midfielder has previously played for Ghana’s U17 and U20 national team. However, he has yet to receive a senior national team (The Black Stars) cap.
