Nigerian forward Ade Oguns has signed a two-year contract with Belgian side KAS Eupen, securing his stay at the Kehrwegstadion until 2027, Footy-Africa reports.

Following a solid performance after joining the club on loan towards the end of the 2024/25 season, KAS Eupen activated the option to make the move permanent, locking in the 24-year-old striker ahead of the new campaign.

In an exclusive interview with player agent Cem Sagar, CEO of Diamond Sports Management, he explained why they decided to trigger the buy-out clause with Eupen despite receiving multiple offers.

“There were a lot of clubs in Asia that wanted him for bigger money, but we believe he has the quality to play in the Belgian Pro League,” Sagar told Footy-Africa. “Ade is just 24 years old, so Eupen will be a good platform for him to show the big clubs in Europe what he’s capable of.”

Oguns began his football journey with Nigerian club 36 Lions, where he developed his skills before moving abroad to Venezuela in 2020, signing his first professional contract with Caracas FC.

After a standout stint in the Venezuelan top flight, Oguns joined Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club on loan in 2023. He returned to Caracas FC in 2024 before sealing another loan switch—this time to Belgian side KAS Eupen with an option for a permanent three-year deal.

Joining Eupen late in the season, the Nigerian forward impressed with his dynamic performances, scoring twice in 10 appearances. His impact convinced the club to trigger the buy-out clause and secure his services for the next three years.
