Team news
Senegal coach Pape Thiaw has a largely settled squad following their quarter-final win. Iliman Ndiaye, who scored the decisive goal against Mali, is expected to start again in a fluid front three alongside Sadio Mané and Nicolas Jackson. Captain Kalidou Koulibaly marshaled a backline that kept its third clean sheet of the tournament on Friday and has no fresh injury concerns.
Egypt are high on confidence after their five-goal thriller against the Ivorians. Mohamed Salah is the tournament’s joint-top scorer with four goals and will lead the line alongside Omar Marmoush.

However, the Pharaohs are sweating on the fitness of defender Ramy Rabia, who picked up a knock after scoring in the quarter-final. Midfielder Emam Ashour, who provided two assists in the last round, will be key to unlocking the Senegalese defense.
View from the camps
Senegal coach Pape Thiaw:
“We know Egypt very well. They are a team of great pedigree and they showed their quality by knocking out the holders. We have to be at our absolute best defensively to stop their movement.”
Egypt coach Hossam Hassan:
“The players showed incredible heart to beat Ivory Coast. Now we face another giant in Senegal. It is a chance for us to show that Egypt is back at the very top of African football.”
