Gambian forward Pa Yusupha Jammeh is on the verge of completing a long-term move to French Ligue 2 side Stade de Reims from GFF League One club Steve Biko Football Club after all parties reached a full agreement, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The deal is being overseen by renowned Gambian agent Cherno Samba, who has played a key role in negotiating another high-profile move involving one of the country’s brightest young talents. Reacting to the agreement, Samba described the transfer as a defining moment in the player’s career.

The transfer has entered its final phase, with all paperwork completed and exchanged between the clubs and the player’s representatives. Jammeh is now awaiting the issuance of his visa before travelling to France to complete the final formalities and officially join the French outfit in the coming weeks.
The move follows an outstanding 2025/26 campaign in which the young attacker established himself as one of the standout performers in the Gambian top flight. Jammeh scored seven league goals for Steve Biko, attracting interest from abroad with his pace, technical quality and eye for goal.
Upon completing the transfer, the 20-year-old will become only the second Gambian footballer to sign for Stade de Reims, following fellow Steve Biko product Adama Bojang, further strengthening the growing connection between Gambian football and the French club.
Reims are understood to view Jammeh as a long-term investment and believe he possesses the qualities to develop into an important player within the club’s sporting project.
