Peter Odoe of PDVSports, agent of the teenage forward Benjamin Dorgu from Danish second-division side HB Køge, who has completed a move to Botev Plovdiv, in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa stated that the transfer is one that suits all parties.
“It is a big step compared to his previous club, who play in the second division. He is positive about the move and ready to compete in the Efbet League, the elite league in Bulgaria,” Odoe told Footy-Africa.
“Botev Plovdiv are a good club and they love him, and it is a good place for young players to develop. I believe he will get better playing with them at that high level, and he will be a success too. Botev Plovdiv is a great team known to have developed and nurtured African talents – the likes of Samuel Kalu and Chimezie Williams have played for them with great success.”
The exciting young attacker, who holds dual eligibility for Nigeria and Italy, joins the Efbet League outfit in what his agent describes as a significant step up in his career.

Dorgu is the younger brother of Manchester United star Patrick Dorgu, and looks set to carve out his own path at the highest level of Bulgarian football and has also left the door open to representing Nigeria.
Odoe, who previously engineered the transfer of Nigerian international Valentine Ozornwanfor to the Efbet League, made it clear that this is part of a broader effort to pipeline African talent into Bulgarian football.
The agent stated that more quality transfers to the region will follow, signaling his continued belief in the league as a viable and rewarding destination for young African players with ambition and potential.
