Arsenal are considering a move for Bayer Leverkusen defender Edmond Tapsoba as they look to strengthen their defence following William Saliba’s injury, according to Africafoot.
The Burkina Faso international has emerged as a potential target for the Gunners, with sources close to Tapsoba’s representatives confirming Arsenal’s interest.
Tapsoba’s versatility and experience at the highest level are understood to appeal to Arsenal, who are also monitoring Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah.
However, a deal for Tapsoba could prove difficult. Leverkusen are reluctant to sell the 26-year-old after he signed a contract extension until June 2031 in April.

The German club are therefore in a strong negotiating position and would demand a substantial fee before considering his departure.
Arsenal would also face competition, with Manchester United and Chelsea previously linked with the Burkina Faso international.
Tapsoba has established himself as an important member of the Leverkusen squad, meaning Arsenal are likely to face a significant challenge if they decide to turn their interest into a formal approach.
