Super Eagles striker Akor Adams in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa has dismissed rumours linking him with a move to the Premier League, insisting his full attention remains on helping Sevilla FC secure their La Liga status.

“No, no, I have not paid attention to anything. I do not focus on those things because they do not matter right now,” Adams exclusively told Footy-Africa.

“I am only looking forward to finishing the season strongly with my club. My teammates and I are fully focused on the team at the moment. The goal now is to keep the club in the league and hopefully finish the season in double digits in terms of goals. That is the focus for now. I do not pay attention to the news because my concentration is on ending the season well,” he added.

The Nigerian forward has emerged as one of Sevilla’s standout performers in what has been a difficult season for the Spanish side. With the club battling to avoid relegation, Adams has continued to deliver important performances when needed most.

Sevilla boosted their survival hopes last weekend with a crucial victory over Real Sociedad, with Adams playing a key role in the encounter.

In recent weeks, reports in Spain have linked the 26-year-old with interest from several Premier League clubs following his impressive performances in La Liga since joining Sevilla last season.

The striker has also enjoyed a strong run with the Nigerian national team, scoring during the Africa Cup of Nations and impressing again during the most recent international window, further increasing speculation surrounding his future.

Despite the growing transfer rumours, Adams says he remains fully focused on Sevilla’s objectives for the remainder of the campaign.

Adams has scored eight goals and registered three assists in 28 appearances for Sevilla this season, with his strength, movement and finishing making him one of the club’s most important attacking outlets as they fight for survival.
