Reports in England and Ghana have, for the past weeks, suggested that Arsenal are considering a move for FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi. However, Footy-Africa can confirm that the Gunners are yet to make any formal approach for the Ghanaian teenager.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a breakthrough in the Danish Superliga, where his maturity on the ball and ability to control games from midfield have drawn praise from scouts across Europe.
Yirenkyi is tied down to a long-term deal with Nordsjaelland until 2029, underlining the club’s faith in his rapid progress.

Although his valuation is understood to be in the region of €1 million, sources close to the situation insist that Arsenal’s name being linked is based on monitoring rather than concrete negotiations.
A representative from Yirenkyi’s agency, CAA Steller, told Footy-Africa exclusively: “We’ve seen the reports, but at this point there has been no contact from Arsenal with us or with Nordsjaelland. Caleb’s focus is entirely on his performances for Nordsjaelland. Arsenal is a massive club, and if an approach came in it would certainly be something to consider, but right now it is just speculation.”
Yirenkyi, born in Accra, is set to feature for the Black Stars in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Mali next month, fixtures that could further raise his growing profile. He has already accumulated four caps in the coveted shirt.
For Nordsjaelland this season, the midfielder has played 10 times, scoring once and assisting on two occasions.
