FC Bayern unveiled the signing of Gambia-born Senegalese national Nicolas Jackson on loan from FIFA Club World Cup winners Chelsea.
The 24-year-old striker will spend the 2025/26 season in Munich and wear the No.11 shirt.
“I’m really happy to now be part of this great club. Bayern is one of the best clubs in the world. Everyone knows the names of the legends who’ve played here and knows that this club stands for the greatest success. I’ve got big goals and dreams here and will give my all to help Bayern win further titles,” Jackson said at the official announcement.

Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl noted that Jackson ‘was immediately keen to play for Bayern’.
“So we’re especially pleased that things have finally worked out. Even at a young age, he already has lots of experience at a top international level and has shown his qualities. Nicolas is an ideal fit for the profile we’re looking for with his dynamism and presence. He’s hungry and will expand our options in attack with his abilities, being an immediate boost for our team,” he added.
Jackson started out in the youth teams of Casa Sports in Senegal before joining Villarreal in Spain in 2019. Following a loan at Mirandés, he returned for the 2021/22 season and made his La Liga debut in October 2021.
After 13 goals in 48 competitive appearances for the first team, he signed for Chelsea in summer 2023, going on to score 30 goals in 81 games.
