Ghanaian midfield prodigy Kwesi Sorotu Badori has completed a move to Italian Serie A side Bologna, joining the clubโs U-20 team for the remainder of the 2025/26 season following a string of eye-catching performances in the Ghana Premier League with Berekum Chelsea, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Footy-Africa understands the highly rated defensive midfielder had attracted strong interest from several clubs over the past two seasons, but Bologna ultimately won the race for his signature, convinced by his maturity, consistency and tactical intelligence in the heart of midfield.
Born in Kukuoum, Ghana, Badori has been one of the standout young performers in the domestic league this season, making 14 Ghana Premier League appearances and scoring twice from deep midfield โ a return that underlines his growing influence in both defensive and attacking phases of play.
The move to Italy follows an impressive 2024/25 campaign in which the energetic midfielder featured in 29 league matches for Berekum Chelsea, starting 25 of those games and racking up an impressive 2,199 minutes. He found the net once during that period and was a constant presence at the base of midfield.
Widely praised for his stamina, positional discipline and relentless work rate, Badori boasts a physical and tactical profile that belies his age. Comfortable shielding the backline or stepping forward to support attacks, he has built a reputation for covering large distances, breaking up opposition play and dictating tempo with simple but effective distribution.
His performances at Golden City Park quickly marked him out as one of the most reliable midfielders in the league, and Bologna see the move as a long-term investment, with the U-20 setup viewed as a key platform for his adaptation to European football and tactical demands.
Badori is expected to feature prominently for Bolognaโs Primavera side as he continues his development, with the club closely monitoring his progress ahead of a potential pathway into the senior team in the future.
