C.D. Leganés have completed the signing of 18-year-old Zambian left-back David Hamansenya on a four-year contract from Shamuel Academy.
Hamansenya impressed at the 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which earned him a senior call-up to the Zambia national team following his standout performances.
He joined Leganés for part of their preseason training, participating in camps held in Mexico and the United States.
Speaking after his unveiling, Hamansenya said:
“I’m very happy and this is a dream come true for me. I have waited for this moment, and I’m really excited to finally sign my professional contract. I want to thank Evans Kangwa owner of Shamuel Academy and my agent Nir Karin who have both helped and guided me throw this journey and I will forever be grateful to them. And the entire Shamuel family thank you for everything, you’re forever in my heart.”\
