Scottish Premier League giants Celtic FC have become the first European club to make a concrete move for Ugandan midfielder Allan Oyirwoth, initiating contact with both his current club, New England Revolution, and his agency, The Giv, sources have confirmed exclusively to Footy-Africa.

The 18-year-old sensation, who joined New England Revolution in January 2025, has quickly risen through the ranks, impressing with his composure, passing accuracy, and defensive contributions.

A source close to The Giv, who are his representatives, revealed, “Celtic have expressed serious interest in Allan, and inquired from the parties about the contract situation. They have reached out to both New England Revolution and The Giv to discuss potential terms. While no formal offer has been made yet, this is a significant step in the recruitment process.”

Oyirwoth’s potential move to Celtic marks a pivotal moment in his career, offering him the opportunity to showcase his talents on a larger stage in European football. As discussions continue, all eyes will be on how this transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.

The youngster, whose Transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €100,000, has also attracted interest from other European sides including Chelsea and Atlético Madrid. At the international stage, Oyirwoth is already a full Ugandan international, making his debut at just 16 and supplying an assist against Somalia
