Former Watford captain Troy Deeney believes Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo could one day play for Real Madrid if he continues his superb Premier League form.
The Ghana international has been one of the standout performers under manager Andoni Iraola, scoring six goals and providing three assists in nine appearances this season. His pace, power and direct running have been central to Bournemouth’s impressive rise up the table.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Deeney said he has been taken aback by the 25-year-old’s progress.
“I just don’t know if Semenyo can keep it up, do you know what I mean? If he does, then my God, he’ll probably end up playing for Real Madrid. But I think he’s very good, very powerful, very direct,” he said.
Since joining from Bristol City, Semenyo has developed into one of the league’s most dangerous attackers. Under Iraola’s high-intensity, fast-transition system, he has been given the freedom to exploit spaces and take on defenders with confidence.

Scouts from several major European clubs are said to be monitoring his progress as he continues to refine his finishing and tactical awareness. His form has also strengthened his position with the Ghana national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
If his current trajectory continues, Deeney’s prediction of a move to one of football’s biggest stages may not be far-fetched.
