Yan Diomande (€90 million)

Ivorian teenage sensation Yan Diomande not only stands as the most valuable U-20 African footballer in the world, but is also the most valuable African footballer in the world.

The 19-year-old was only playing for Leganes just over a year ago, before making the switch to RB Leipzig.

He enjoyed a very impressive spell at the Bundesliga side, which earned him multiple accolades, and he was also rewarded with a record-breaking transfer to Real Madrid during the summer transfer window, making him the most expensive African player transfer in history.

Ayyoub Bouaddi (€80 million)

Closely following Diomande is Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who has a market value of €80 million and is also the second most valuable African footballer in the world, alongside Antoine Semenyo of Ghana and Manchester City and countryman Achraf Hakimi.

Just like Diomande, Bouaddi also enjoyed a remarkable rise over the past year and shone for the African champions at the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.

These performances earned him a move to Manchester City in the summer, and he has already settled in quickly at the former Premier League champions.

Ibrahim Mbaye (€30 million)

Next on this list is Senegalese forward Ibrahim Mbaye, who has a market value of €30 million.

The 18-year-old broke onto the scene with French champions Paris Saint-Germain with several impressive performances for the club.

Mbaye earned a move to Europa League champions Aston Villa during the summer and will now be targeting a much improved spell at the Premier League side, which could see his market value increase once more.

Kader Meite (€18 million)

Ivorian youngster Kader Meite comes into the list in fourth place with a market value of €18 million, which also ranks him as the 72nd most valuable African footballer in the world.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a remarkable rise with boyhood club Rennes in France before making the switch to Al Hilal earlier in the year and he has continued that impressive form at the Saudi Pro League giants.

Zadok Yohanna (€18 million)

Nigerian teenage superstar Zadok Yohanna completes this list with a market value of €18 million.

The 18-year-old was only playing in Nigeria just over a year ago, but currently plies his trade with Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League.

Yohanna enjoyed a stunning rise at Swedish club AIK, where he became one of their most dangerous plauers before earning a summer move to the Seagulls in a deal that saw him become the most expensive export in Swedish league history.
