Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai is considering his next move after officially leaving Azerbaijani side Qarabag, sources have exclusively told Footy-Africa.

The 24-year-old is taking his time before making a decision, but a move to Italy remains his preferred option. Addai is understood to have had a pre-contract agreement with Serie A side Bologna, as previously reported last month.

However, interest from England has also emerged, with Championship clubs Middlesbrough and Hull City monitoring his situation. Hull’s interest has reportedly intensified following their promotion to the Premier League.

Spanish club Elche had also shown interest in the Ghana international, but their relegation from La Liga has significantly reduced the chances of a move to Spain.

Sources close to the player have exclusively told Footy-Africa that Addai is determined to continue playing top-flight football and wants his next destination to be one of Europe’s leading leagues.

The winger recently brought his two-year spell with Qarabag to an end and is now focused on securing a new club ahead of the upcoming season.

Addai enjoyed a productive period at Qarabag, establishing himself as one of the club’s key attacking players both domestically and on the European stage.

Last season, he made 10 appearances in the UEFA Champions League, featuring against top opposition including Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United.

Across all competitions, Addai registered seven goals and four assists in 47 appearances. Among his highlights was a goal in Qarabag’s 2-0 Champions League victory over FC Copenhagen in August.

With interest growing across Europe, the coming weeks are expected to be crucial as Addai weighs up his options and prepares for the next stage of his career.
