VfL Bochum 1848 has brought German-born Ghanaian right-winger Farid Alfa-Ruprecht to Vonovia-Ruhrstadion on loan for the 2025/26 season from Bayer 04 Leverkusen, according to the official anouncement.
“Farid is a highly qualified young player with real pace; his dynamism is exceptional,” said VfL Sporting Director Dirk Dufner. “He will take Sammy Bamba’s place in our squad, meaning we have a quality player in that position again in attack.”
The 19-year-old striker will wear the number 29 on his jersey for the new club.
“I’m delighted that the move to VfL has materialized. It will be the next step for me; the 2. Bundesliga is tough competition. But I’m ready to take on the challenge”, Alfa-Ruprecht noted.
