Danish giants FC Midtjylland have completed the signing of highly rated Nigerian midfielder Hassan Kashietu from partner club FC Ebiede, continuing the well-established pathway that has produced several Super Eagles stars, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
A member of the FC Ebiede set-up believes the teenager has everything required to follow the success of those who made the same journey before him.
“He is still a young player, but there is no doubting his talent. He showed us exactly what he is capable of during his time with us,” the source told Footy-Africa. “We have a strategic partnership with FC Midtjylland, where our best young players get the opportunity to continue their development, and Kashietu has certainly earned this move.”
“I have no doubt he will become another success story in Denmark, just like Paul Onuachu, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka and others before him. We believe it won’t be long before he earns a place in the first team. He has the quality and potential to make that step and establish himself at the club.”
The 18-year-old becomes the latest graduate of the FC Ebiede academy to secure a move to Denmark, following in the footsteps of the likes of Paul Onuachu, Frank Onyeka and Raphael Onyedika, all of whom used Midtjylland as a springboard to successful European careers.
Regarded as one of Nigeria’s brightest midfield prospects, Kashietu is a versatile player capable of operating in several roles across the middle of the park. He is expected to begin his journey with Midtjylland’s U-19 side but is already viewed as a player with the potential to break into the senior team in the near future.
Having emerged as one of the standout talents from FC Ebiede’s latest crop of academy graduates, Kashietu impressed the club’s coaches with his maturity, technical quality and tactical intelligence, earning himself a long-term contract with the Danish outfit.
Kashietu now begins the next chapter of his career in Denmark, where both FC Ebiede and Midtjylland will be hoping he develops into the latest Nigerian talent to make a lasting impact in European football.
