Italian champions Inter Milan are eyeing a summer move for Ivorian defender Wilfried Singo from Turkish champions Galatasaray ahead of next season.
The Nerazzurri are in need of reinforcements in the right-back position, having lost experienced Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries to Real Madrid earlier in the summer.
Meanwhile, young Italian defender Marco Pallestra snubbed a move to the San Siro to join Premier League club Chelsea, and that move had seen them step up the pursuit of Singo in time for preseason.

Wilfried Singo began his career at Torino and then moved on to French side AS Monaco before eventually joining Galatasaray last summer in a deal worth almost €31 million.
The 25-year-old was an instrumental part of Okan Buruk’s side that won the Super Lig title and also shone for Ivory Coast at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, before they were eliminated by Norway in the knockout rounds.
However, he could soon be set for a return to Italy this summer with Inter Milan pressing well for his signature. The Ivorian’s versatility is also another key reason why the Italian champions want him this summer, given his ability to also play in centre-back and also in defensive midfield if needed.

Potential transfer breakdown
Singo is valued at around €23 million according to Transfermarkt, which makes him the fourth most valuable player at Galatasaray and the ninth most valuable Ivorian footballer in the world.
However, Galatasaray are set to demand around €55 million before they can sanction a sale and have reportedly declined an offer worth around €35 million already earlier this month.
This fee would make the 25-year-old the most expensive departure in the history of Turkish football and also place him as the second most expensive arrival in Inter’s history, only behind Romelu Lukaku’s €74 million move from Manchester United in 2019, if a deal eventually happens.
Singo also earns around €7.5 million annually and Inter Milan’s total expenditure could be worth up to €80 million this summer.
