Manchester City may yet influence the future of Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo, a player who has attracted firm interest from Liverpool, TalkSport reports.
As first disclosed in this notebook, the Ghana international signed a new five-year deal last summer that includes a release clause. That clause — understood to be set at around £60 million — becomes active during the first half of the January transfer window.

Liverpool are monitoring Semenyo’s situation closely. The 25-year-old has scored six times this season, and sources close to the player indicate he would be open to a move to the reigning Premier League champions.
However, Pep Guardiola is also believed to be a strong admirer. The Manchester City manager labelled Semenyo “an extraordinary player” prior to Bournemouth’s recent visit to the Etihad, and is thought to be considering attacking reinforcements amid concerns over City’s reliance on Erling Haaland.

Haaland remains the club’s leading scorer with 19 goals in all competitions. Phil Foden is the nearest challenger with four, while both Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki have found the net three times this season.
