Zambian midfielder Kelvin Kampamba has emerged as a transfer target for several clubs following the end of his stint with Libyan side Al-Madina, as per Footy-Africa.
The 28-year-old opted not to renew his contract β which expires this month β due to growing security concerns in Libya after recent clashes involving militant groups. His return to Zambia has sparked immediate interest from three domestic clubs: Zesco United, Nkana, and Power Dynamos β all of which he has previously represented.
Sources close to the player suggest that Zesco United are leading the race to re-sign him, especially as the club prepares for next seasonβs CAF Confederation Cup. Kampamba played for Zesco before making the move to Libya, and he is reportedly open to returning to the Ndola-based side.
Beyond Zambia, Kampambaβs representatives have also offered him to several clubs in South Africa. Although no formal agreements have been reached, discussions are said to be ongoing.
A move to Europe is also on the table, but there have been no concrete offers so far. For now, Kampamba is evaluating his options as interest in his services continues to grow both at home and abroad.
