Belgian Pro League side OH Leuven are on the verge of completing the signing of Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai on a free transfer, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
The deal is in its final stages, with the 24-year-old expected to sign his contract in the coming days after reaching an agreement with the Belgian club.
Sources have told Footy-Africa.com that Italian Serie A side Bologna had a pre-agreement in place with Addai, while Lecce were also monitoring his situation closely. However, OH Leuven have won the race after presenting a more attractive sporting and financial package.
Addai became a free agent after leaving Azerbaijani champions Qarabag at the end of last season following a successful two-year spell.

The Ghanaian established himself as one of Qarabag’s most influential attacking players, contributing consistently in domestic competitions and on the European stage.
During the 2025/26 campaign, Addai made 10 UEFA Champions League appearances, coming up against elite opposition including Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United. He also scored in Qarabag’s 2-0 Champions League victory over FC Copenhagen.
Across all competitions last season, the winger registered seven goals and four assists in 47 appearances performances that attracted interest from clubs across Europe.
Barring any late complications, Addai is expected to complete the formalities of his move in the coming days before being unveiled as OH Leuven’s newest signing.
