Promising Gambian Njie moves to Sweden for a trial with Östers IF

Young talented Gambian winger Musa Njie joined Swedish side Östers IF and will be on trial with the team for the next three weeks, according to the official announcement. 

18-year-old, who is on a contract with the Gambian club BST Galaxy, will train with both the A-team and the U19 team during his time in Växjö.

Moreover Njie is expected to take part in the U21 match at home against Landskrona BoIS.

“Musa is a fast and explosive player who is strong in depth and wants to get in behind the back line. We have followed him since last spring and now it will be exciting to see him in our environment,” Östers IF sports director Christian Järdler noted.

The player himself expressed his excitement over the trial period in Sweden.

“I am very happy to be here. It will be exciting and I look forward to showing myself,” he said.
