Czech champions Sparta Prague have reached an agreement to sign Sporting Lagos forward Linus Zika, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
Sources have informed Footy-Africa that the transfer is now 100% complete, bringing an end to negotiations between the two clubs after weeks of discussions.
The Nigerian youngster is scheduled to travel to the Czech Republic at the end of August to complete the next stage of the move.
Upon his arrival, Zika is expected to begin training immediately with his new teammates as he starts life at Sparta Prague.
The Czech club had identified Zika as a priority target after he impressed during a trial with their Under-19 side, scoring after coming on for the final 30 minutes of a friendly against Right to Dream.
His performances at the Gothia Cup in Sweden last summer also attracted interest, with the forward earning praise for his pace, power and attacking quality.
Zika was promoted to Sporting Lagos’ first team ahead of the 2025-26 season and helped the club secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The move represents a significant step in the career of one of Nigeria’s emerging young talents, with Sparta Prague viewing the forward as a player capable of developing into the club’s first-team setup.
