South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns are set for a defining continental showdown after booking their place in the final of the CAF Champions League, where they will meet Morocco’s FAR Rabat in a two-legged decider next month.

Sundowns sealed their return to the final in commanding fashion, edging past Espérance Sportive de Tunis with a composed 1-0 victory in Pretoria to complete a 2-0 aggregate success.

A first-half strike from Brayan León proved decisive, capping off a disciplined and tactically assured display that underlined their credentials as one of the continent’s most consistent forces.

On the other side of the bracket, FAR Rabat carved out a historic milestone by reaching the final for the first time. Their semi-final tie against RS Berkane went down to the wire, with Rabat progressing 2-1 on aggregate.

The job is done. The mission continues. The final awaits. A dominant performance by Bafana Ba Style has booked them a place in the #TotalEnergiesCAFCL final. 🔥👆

Despite falling 1-0 in the second leg, their earlier advantage held firm as they weathered late pressure to punch their ticket to the final.

The title will be decided across two legs, with Sundowns hosting the opening encounter on May 15, 2026, before the decisive return leg unfolds in Morocco on May 24, 2026.

Beyond the stakes, the matchup presents a compelling narrative. Sundowns bring pedigree and recent experience, aiming to add a second continental crown to the one they secured in 2016. FAR Rabat, meanwhile, arrive with momentum and ambition, hoping to cap a breakthrough campaign with a maiden Champions League triumph.
