Brighton & Hove Albion have secured the services of Tariq Lamptey for another year, after the dynamic right-back penned a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of the 2025/26 season, as per the club’s official website.
The 24-year-old, who represents Ghana at international level, has been a key figure for the Seagulls since arriving from Chelsea in 2020. Over the past five years, Lamptey has clocked up 122 appearances across all competitions, scoring five goals and registering 12 assists.
Albion head coach Fabian Hürzeler welcomed the news, highlighting Lamptey’s continued importance to the squad:
“We’re very pleased to have Tariq on board for another season. His versatility and energy out wide are a real asset, and he’s fully committed to helping us push forward.”
In addition to Lamptey, Brighton confirmed that Abdallah Sima, Seb Jensen, Harry Mills, Odel Offiah, and Jamie Mullins have also agreed to extend their stays at the club, as preparations ramp up for the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
