Gambian forward Abdourahman Badamosi has completed a move to Czech Liga side FK Teplice on a permanent transfer from Estonian club Paide Linnameeskond.
Badamosi’s agent, Modou Lamin Beyai, in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa has expressed belief the move to Teplice is the right decision for the player’s development at this stage of his career.
“I think this is a very good move for Abdourahman to FK Teplice and, in my opinion, the right one for his development at this stage of his career,” Beyai said.
“He is at a point now where the most important thing is to play regularly, continue improving and put himself in a position to make an even bigger move in the future.”
According to Beyai, Teplice was not the only club interested in securing Badamosi’s services, with several clubs across Europe showing interest.
“There wasn’t only interest from Teplice. We had several clubs around Europe interested in him, including Aris Limassol in Cyprus, IK Start in Norway, who made an offer, and Raków Częstochowa in Poland, who also made an offer,” he explained.
“But when we looked at the different possibilities, the development plan and pathway were very important to us. In the end, we felt Teplice was the best choice for him.”
Beyai believes the Czech top flight will provide Badamosi with an ideal platform to continue his development and attract further opportunities in the future.
“He is joining a good club playing in the top division in the Czech Republic, where he will have the opportunity to develop, compete and show his qualities. If he performs well there, I believe it can become a very good platform for him to make a big move in the future.”
The agent also highlighted Teplice’s history of helping African strikers develop and progress to bigger opportunities.
“Teplice also has a good history with strikers, particularly African strikers, who have come to the club, performed well and progressed in their careers. Hopefully Badamosi can follow in those footsteps, and even go further.”
“He still has a lot of potential and room to improve, and now it is about working hard, playing games, scoring goals and continuing his development. I’m very happy with the decision and excited to see what he can achieve at Teplice.”
Badamosi joins Teplice after spending two seasons with Paide, where he made 47 appearances and scored nine goals following his move from Gambian record champions Real de Banjul FC.

The forward expressed his excitement about the next chapter of his career, saying: “I’m super happy. I want to achieve a lot of things with this club.”
The move marks another important step in Badamosi’s European journey, with the Gambian now set to test himself in one of Central Europe’s top-flight leagues as he looks to establish himself and continue his progression.
