Former Nigeria midfielder Ogenyi Onazi in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa has expressed his excitement over rumours linking Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen with a move to English side Arsenal FC, according to reports in Europe.
The former Premier League champions have been admirers of the Nigerian striker for the past two years, and with the Gunners undergoing a period of rejuvenation, Osimhen has once again been strongly linked with a move to the club ahead of the summer transfer window.

Onazi, who previously played for Galatasaray’s rivals Trabzonspor, said he would be delighted to see Osimhen make the move to England, while also stressing that the striker must make the best decision for his career.
“I trust Osimhen to make the right decision for himself regarding a move to the Premier League, and not just based on what people think,” he exclusively told Footy-Africa. “However, personally, it would gladden me if he makes the move, as Arsenal are one of the biggest clubs in England and in the world.”

“He will be a big hit in England, as he will fit into Arsenal’s system and cause a lot of problems for defenders with his power and pace. The Premier League is massive and followed worldwide, and it would be good for him to test himself elsewhere after his heroics in Italy and now in Turkey. It will be a tough decision because I know Galatasaray love him and the fans have also taken to him, but a move to Arsenal would be superb for him,” Onazi added.
Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta was spotted at the Rams Park Stadium on Sunday, where Galatasaray defeated Fenerbahçe 3–0 in the Istanbul derby.
