Highly rated youngster Frank Abora Duku has all, but completed a switch to Ghana Premier League outfit Hearts of Oak FC from fellow local side Vision FC, Footy-Africa sources have exclusively learned.

The U-20 Ghanaian starlet is set to sign a three-year employment contract with the Hearts of Oak, pending official announcement. This comes after the latter and Vision FC reached a verbal agreement on Sunday, following weeks of negotiations.

An exclusive source close to the player has confirmed to Footy-Africa that his spell with Hearts of Oak will commence later this week after medical tests that have been scheduled for Tuesday. Additionally, Vision FC will earn up to €230,000 from Hearts of Oak as compensation.

“It’s a done deal, after a verbal agreement was reached on Sunday. The papers will be signed after the Tuesday medicals, and Duku will be announced by the club. We were at the Hearts of Oak offices over the weekend and everything was agreed, including a fee of €230,000 to be paid for a three-year contract,” the source exclusively told Footy-Africa.

Duku caught the eye of a number of clubs on the continent after his superb show at the 2024 All-Africa Games in Accra, where he scored thrice and assisted two times in five games for the Ghanaian U-20 team. He was instrumental as they clinched the title at the expense of Uganda.

The 20-year-old spent last season with Vision, as he played 21 Ghana Premier League matches, as he scored three goals and assisted on five occasions. In the 2023/24 campaign, he featured six times in the league, as he netted seven times with two assists.

Dubbed as one of the finest uprising forwards in Ghana, Duku has represented the country at various youth level teams including the U15, U17 and the U20s. He, however, is yet to make a national senior team (The Black Stars) appearance.
