Czech champions Sparta Prague are in advanced negotiations to sign Sporting Lagos forward Linus Zika, Footy-Africa understands.
Talks between the two clubs have progressed significantly after Sparta Prague made formal contact and submitted an offer for the highly rated Nigerian youngster.
A source close to the negotiations told Footy-Africa that the deal is “almost done”, with an agreement between Sparta Prague and Sporting Lagos now believed to be close.
Sparta Prague have tracked Zika for some time after the forward impressed during a trial with the club’s Under-19 side. He scored after coming on for the final 30 minutes of a friendly against Right to Dream, further strengthening the club’s interest.
The youngster also attracted attention with his performances at the Gothia Cup in Sweden last summer, where his pace, strength and attacking quality stood out.
Zika was promoted to Sporting Lagos’ first team ahead of the 2025-26 season and played a key role in helping the club secure promotion back to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
If the final details are completed, the move would see one of Nigeria’s brightest young prospects continue his development in European football.
