Emmanuel Banda set to join Maccabi Bnei Reineh in Israel

The Israeli side Maccabi Bnei Reineh announced the addition of Zambian midfielder Emmanuel Banda as a free agent, club’s media team confirms.

Last season the 27-year-old spent in the Saudi Arabia’s second division for Al-Tai SC, registering five goals and two assists in 28 games across all competitions.

“Banda, born in Zambia, stands 1.78 meters tall and plays as a central midfielder. We wish Emmanuel much success and believe that he will contribute greatly to the team’s success in the upcoming season”, says Maccabi Bnei Reineh’s statement.

During his career, Zambian central midfielder also played for Djurgården (Sweden), HNK Rijeka (Croatia), KV Oostende (Belgium), AS Béziers (France), Esmoriz (Portugal).

His first team was Zambian side Nchanga Rangers FC.

Banda was a part of the Zambia U20 national team which won the CAF U20 African Cup of Nations on home soil eight years ago, in 2017.
