Abdul Fatawu Issahaku’s future has become a hot topic in the Premier League, with both Sunderland and Everton showing keen interest in prising the Ghanaian winger away from Leicester City, Footy-Africa can confirm.

On Monday, Leicester reportedly rebuffed a €32 million offer from Sunderland, a bid that underlined just how highly rated the Black Stars youngster is. Everton, meanwhile, are monitoring developments closely, with David Moyes keen to add pace and creativity to his attack.

However, while they conceded interest from a number of suitors, Issahaku’s camp has cooled speculation of an imminent exit, stressing that the player remains grounded and focused on the season ahead with Leicester.

“There’s interest, but Fatawu is focused on Leicester at the moment,” a source from his management agency, Pintex Sports, exclusively told Footy-Africa. “He is happy with the project at the King Power and wants to continue his development. Whatever will happen in the future isn’t a matter for him to worry about, he just wants to play and help the team.”

For Leicester, keeping hold of their rising star could prove decisive as they aim for Premier League stability. The 21-year-old has played 58 games for the Foxes since his arrival in the 2022/23 season, scoring 15 goals and assisting seven times.

At the international stage, Fatawu, whose transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €11.5 million, has already accumulated 24 caps for the Black Stars, scoring three goals and assisting on two occasions.
