The English Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Genk attacker and Nigerian international Tolu Arokodare on a four-year deal with a 12-month option to extend, according to the official announcement.

The 24-year-old moves to Molineux fresh from claiming the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot last term, having struck 21 times in the league and on 23 occasions in all competitions.

“From Golden Boot to gold and black. Welcome to the pack, Tolu Arokodare!” club’s media team announced.

Previously, sources close to the player’s agency CAA Base Limited confirmed Footy-Africa that the deal would honour a gentleman’s agreement Arokodare had with Genk, allowing him to leave should a club meet their €20–25 million valuation.

Arokodare has been one of Europe’s standout forwards this year, finishing joint-top scorer in the Jupiler Pro League with 21 goals and adding two more in the Belgian Cup.

His 23 goals and six assists in all competitions made him Wolves’ priority target to lead their frontline heading into the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

Wolves reach full agreement with Genk for €20m+ Tolu Arokodare deal

He played his youth football in his home nation and first arrived in Europe with Latvian side Valmiera in 2019, playing regular football at the age of 18 and showing an early eye for goal with 22 in 34 matches.

Arokodare’s current Transfermarkt value is estimated at €18 million.
