Brighton vs Sunderland Match Preview

Brighton head into the clash on the back of a 2-0 defeat to champions Liverpool in their last outing, which meant they dropped out of an European spot.

The Seagulls have found themselves in mid-table after failing to win any their last three matches. They are 10th on the standings with 23 points from their opening 16 matches, having won six times, drawn five times and suffered five defeats.

Sunderland, on the other hand, have enjoyed a great start to their first top-flight campaign in years and were 1-0 winners over Newcastle United in their previous outing. The EFL Championship playoff winners are eighth on the standings with 26 points, same as fifth-placed Chelsea and are only behind on goal difference. The Black Cats have recorded seven wins so far in the league this season and have lost just four times from 16 matches.
