Algeria and Nigeria will clash in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in a rematch of the 2019 semifinal at the Stade de Marrakech, with a place in the last four at stake.

Algeria vs Nigeria Match Preview

Algeria head into the quarterfinal clash after a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Democratic Republic of Congo in their Round of 16 clash, setting up a thrilling meeting with Nigeria. Adil Boulbina scored deep into extra-time to seal the win for his side in a keenly-contested matchup. The Desert Warriors won all three of their group stage matches, breezing past Sudan, Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea in Group E. They have already outperformed their last appearance in Ivory Coast two years ago and will be eyeing another win to progress to the next round.

Nigeria, on the other hand, have won all of their four matches so far in Morocco and thrashed Mozambique 4-0 in their own Round of 16 clash. The three-time African champions reached the final in the last AFCON edition and will be hoping to lift the title this time around.
