Nigerian teenager Angelo Agbejoye is set to return to Manchester City in the coming weeks to continue a trial with the Premier League giants, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
City have been long-term admirers of the highly rated forward and have formally registered their interest with his club, Grassrunner Academy in Nigeria.
Agbejoye was first invited to Manchester for a trial in November 2025, spending several weeks training with the club before returning home after falling ill.
Sources have told Footy-Africa that the 18-year-old is expected back in England in late January or early February to resume the assessment.
Should he impress during the trial period, Agbejoye could be offered a contract and the opportunity to link up with Manchester City’s under-21 squad.
However, City face competition for his signature, with German side Hannover 96 and Swedish Allsvenskan club AIK Stockholm also monitoring his situation.
A move during the January transfer window now appears unlikely, with the forward expected to make a decision on his future ahead of a potential summer transfer.
