Mozambique vs Cameroon Match Preview

Mozambique claimed their first-ever win at the African Cup of Nations on match-day two with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Gabon. They had previously drawn four times and lost 12 matches from 16 games at the tournament, before finally securing a long-awaited win last Sunday. The Mambas also lost their opening game in Morocco to Ivory Coast, but could secure a spot in the round of 16 with a shock result in their final group game.

Cameroon, on the other hand, have gathered four points from their opening two matches. Despite the controversies surrounding their football association in the buildup to the tournament, the Indomitable Lions began their campaign in Morocco with a 1-0 win over Gabon, before playing out an entertaining 1-1 draw against defending champions Ivory Coast in their second group game. A point against Mozambique will seal their spot in the next round, although they could finish top of the group with a victory.

The Manchester United forward impressed in Cameroon’s first match, but had a relatively quiet showing against Ivory Coast in their last match.

However, he is responsible for taking their set-pieces and could create the breakthrough they need in the clash.
