AIK have completed the signing of highly rated Ghanaian winger Nana-Kofi Donkor from Georgian side FC Dila Gori on a contract running until the end of 2030.
The 19-year-old joins AIK with immediate effect but will not be eligible to play competitive matches until January 2027 due to FIFA registration rules, having already represented two clubs in official competitions during the 2026 calendar year.
Despite the delayed debut, AIK view Donkor as a major investment for the future. The club’s recruitment department identified the versatile attacker after closely monitoring his performances in Georgia, where he impressed with both FC Dila Gori and, during a loan spell, FC Dinamo Tbilisi.
AIK’s head of recruitment, Miika Takkula, described Donkor as a dynamic winger capable of playing both out wide and in central attacking positions. The Swedish club believe his dribbling ability, creativity and composure in one-on-one situations make him an ideal fit for their long-term project.

Donkor has enjoyed a rapid rise since moving to Georgian football in 2025. He announced himself with a goal on his senior debut for Dinamo Tbilisi before going on to score three goals and provide an assist in 13 league appearances the following season. He also gained valuable European experience by featuring in both the UEFA Youth League and UEFA Conference League qualifiers.
Born in Ghana, the teenager is regarded as one of his country’s emerging attacking prospects thanks to his pace, technical ability and versatility across the front line.
Although AIK supporters will have to wait until the 2027 season to see him in competitive action, the Stockholm club believe they have secured one of African football’s promising young talents before his value rises further. The long-term deal underlines AIK’s confidence that Donkor can develop into an important first-team player in the years ahead.
