England-born Ghanaian striker Daniel Adu-Adjei has officially signed a four-year contract with Croatian champions HNK Rijeka.

The 20-year-old arrived from the English Premier League club Bournemouth and will strengthen Rijeka’s attack for the years to come.

“I’m happy to be here, I’m excited to play for Rijeka. I like the family atmosphere that prevails at the club, from the management to all the employees, and I’m looking forward to it,” Daniel Adu-Adjei said.

“I felt that the club really wanted me and that’s the main reason why I’m here. I can’t wait to meet the teammates and fans and play for the first team. I decided to join Rijeka because of the club’s ambition and everything the club has achieved. The desire this season is of course to be placed as high as possible,” he added.

“A new beginning… Can’t wait to get started. All glory to God,” Adu-Adjei said after signing the new long-term contract.

His current Transfermarkt value is estimated at €150.000.

Daniel was born in Hammersmith, England and joined the Bournemouth academy in March 2021. Two years later, he signed his first professional contract with the club.
