England vs Wales Match Preview

England head into the encounter on the back of an impressive qualifying campaign in September, following two impressive victories over Andorra and Serbia. They are in pole position to clinch the automatic ticket from Group K of the European qualifying campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Three Lions have a flawless record in qualifying, winning all five matches with no goals conceded. They are seven points ahead of second place Albania and can secure their spot in the showpiece event with a win over Latvia next week.

Wales, on the other hand, head into the clash in high spirits and will be aiming to make a strong statement with a win over the Three Lions. Despite winning three of their first five qualifying matches, they face a tough challenge of reaching next year’s event in a keenly contested group alongside Belgium and North Macedonia. The Dragons must win at least two of their remaining three games to secure a spot in the playoffs round.

England are in remarkable form, having won eight of their last nine matches in all competitions. They have won five of their six games since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel earlier this year.

The Three Lions have however suffered defeats in two of their last six home matches, including in their last friendly match, going down 3-1 at home to Senegal.
