Everton vs Liverpool match preview

Everton enter this clash in good form and on the back of a thrilling 2-2 draw at Brentford in their last outing. The Toffees came from behind twice in the encounter to record a valuable point that kept them hunting for an European spot at the end of the campaign.

David Moyes’ side are currently eighth in the standings level on points with Brentford on 47, and are just a single point behind Chelsea, who are in sixth position, giving them a high chance of a first European appearance since the 2017-18 season.

Liverpool, meanwhile, enter the clash on the back of a 2-0 win over Fulham, which ended their run of three consecutive defeats across all competitions. The Premier League champions are also in a battle to finish in fifth position, with England assured of five places in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The Reds are currently on 52 points and are four points above Chelsea on the league standings, with just six games left to salvage their season.
