Gambian international midfielder Saidou Khan is reportedly in advanced talks with Tunisian Pro League club, Club Africain Tunis, over a potential permanent transfer, Footy-Africa.com can confirm. The talented midfielder, who is currently a free agent, has a market value of €100,000 and is expected to sign with the Tunisian giants following a successful negotiation.

Saidou’s football journey has seen its fair share of highs and lows, but his talent and determination have always shone through. The midfielder made his name playing for Swindon Town in the English Football League, where he became an integral part of the squad during his two-year stay at the club. Across 68 appearances for the Wiltshire-based club, Saidou was lauded for his versatility, stamina, and technical ability in the middle of the park. His presence on the pitch was a vital part of Swindon’s midfield, and he quickly earned a reputation as one of the club’s standout performers.

However, injuries have undeniably hindered Saidou’s progress, particularly during the 2023-24 season. On loan at Tranmere Rovers from Swindon, Saidou made 10 appearances but struggled to stay fit for extended periods, which limited his influence on the field. Despite these setbacks, his talent and work ethic have remained clear, and it appears that his career is now set to take an exciting new direction in Tunisia.

As Saidou nears a permanent move to Club Africain, the midfielder will be hoping to rediscover the form that made him one of the top performers in English football’s lower leagues. Club Africain, one of Tunisia’s most successful football clubs, presents a fresh challenge for the 27-year-old, who will be eager to make his mark in a highly competitive Pro League.
