After Yves Bissouma‘s transfer to Galatasaray had fallen through, the Turkish side turned their eyes to Nigerian defensive midfielder Raphael Onyedika, according to renowned journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

It is reported that the initial discussions with the 24-year-old’s representatives have already begun.

Though there has been no contact with Club Brugge so far, once the agreement with the player is reached, it should be a matter of time to seal the transfer.

🟠🔴 As already revealed this morning, the Yves Bissouma deal is off! ❌

🇹🇷 Galatasaray SK is now moving quickly for Raphaël Onyedika and has made contact with the player’s camp.

Earlier this month, Brugge refused to part ways with the player amidst transfer rumors that linked Onyedika to Real Betis.

Onyedika’s Transfermarkt value is estimated at €20 million, the price tag that has already shut the door on several other interested clubs including Fenerbahce, West Ham, Leeds United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

He joined Brugge from the Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2022 for €9.50 million transfer fee. Since then took part in 148 games, registering six goals and four assists to his name.

Onyedika’s contract with Brugge expires in 2027.
