Nigerian youngster Ifeanyi Ugochukwu is attracting interest from Belgian Pro League side Oud-Heverlee Leuven, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
The club has been monitoring the Kwara Football Academy player for several months following a series of impressive academy performances.
Sources close to the negotiations say discussions are at an advanced stage, with both parties confident of reaching an agreement during the January transfer window.
It is understood that the proposed deal includes a comprehensive welfare package, which would feature a study scholarship alongside football development.
Ugochukwu is already in Belgium on trial, and officials at Kwara Football Academy are optimistic that a move will be finalized.
Should the transfer be completed, the teenager is expected to begin his European career with Leuven’s Under-21 side as part of a gradual pathway into the club’s first team.
