Yankuba Minteh is waiting for negotiations between Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion to progress before discussing personal terms with the Premier League giants, with sources close to the situation have exclusively indicated Footy-Africa that an agreement on the player’s contract is not expected to be a major obstacle.
Minteh’s representative, Bakary Bojang, remains fully involved in the negotiations. Bojang has also partnered with CAA Stellar, one of England’s leading football agencies, as efforts continue to facilitate the potential blockbuster move.
Liverpool have already seen two bids rejected within the last 48 hours, with proposals of approximately £50 million and £60 million turned down by Brighton.
Despite those rejections, all parties remain optimistic that an agreement can be reached, with Brighton understood to have set a valuation slightly above £70 million for the Gambian winger.
Liverpool have second bid for Yankuba Minteh rejected as talks continue
For now, no personal terms have been agreed between Liverpool and Minteh. The immediate priority remains reaching an agreement between the two clubs.
Talks are reportedly progressing well, and the next 24 hours could prove crucial as Liverpool look to close the gap with Brighton and secure the signing of one of Africa’s most exciting young attacking talents.
Minteh’s potential move would represent a major milestone for the 21-year-old, who has rapidly established himself as one of the Premier League’s most highly rated young wingers.
