Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye has become the latest name to emerge as six-time European champions Liverpool look into the market for potential signings ahead of the summer transfer window as they prepare for life after Mohamed Salah, who is expected to leave the club.

Egyptian superstar Salah will leave the club at the end of the season, bringing an end to a nine-year spell where he achieved remarkable success after both parties came to an agreement over an early exit from his contract.

The Premier League champions are now reportedly exploring the possibility of a move for Senegalese forward Iliman Ndiaye from Merseyside rivals Everton, as they look to strengthen their forward line ahead of next season.

Ndiaye joined the Toffees in the summer of 2024 from French club Olympique Marseille and has become one of the club’s most consistent and reliable performers since his arrival, contributing to 17 goals from 64 appearances, including six this season as they chase a return to European football for the first time since the 2017-18 season.

The 26-year-old is Premier League proven and while he can play efficiently on the right side, fitting in as a perfect replacement for Salah, Ndiaye can also play comfortably across any position in the attack, giving the coach an added advantage in case of injury or tactical changes with his versatility.

According to Transfermarkt, Iliman Ndiaye has a market value of around €50 million, which makes him the most valuable Senegalese footballer in the world and also the most valuable player in Everton currently.

Personal terms are not expected to be a problem, with the player currently earning around £2.95 million annually, although Liverpool will face competition from Manchester United and Arsenal if they decide to push further with their interest.

Everton are believed to want more than €65 million before even considering a sale, although the deal won’t be straightforward, given the rivalry between the two clubs. However, Ndiaye could be tempted by the desire to play Champions League football and push for a move to Liverpool.
