Nigeria’s Group C clash with Tunisia at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations could go either way, according to Nigerian coach Ladan Bosso.

Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa, Bosso said both teams have the quality to win as the Super Eagles prepare to face the Carthage Eagles in Morocco.

Nigeria and Tunisia will renew their rivalry in their second Group C fixture of the tournament.

Tunisia currently top the group after a 3-1 victory over Uganda, while Nigeria sit second following a tense 2-1 win against Tanzania.

The match is being billed as a repeat of the round-of-16 encounter at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, when Tunisia knocked out pre-tournament favourites Nigeria despite qualifying for the knockout stage as one of the best third-placed teams.

“I don’t like predicting matches, but this game could go either way. Both teams are strong, and all we can do is wish the Super Eagles the very best and pray they come out victorious,” Bosso exclusively told Footy-Africa.

Bosso, who guided Nigeria to qualification for the 2025 FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Chile, added that the Super Eagles must target Nations Cup glory after missing out on the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“The team must do well at the Nations Cup and aim to win it for Nigerians as compensation for missing out on the FIFA World Cup. They can use the disappointment of failing to qualify as motivation to fight for the title, and I urge Nigerians to continue supporting and praying for the team,” he concluded.

The top-of-the-table Group C encounter will be played at the 35,000-capacity Complexe Sportif de Fès.
