Former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has denied reports linking him with a move to Kazakhstan club FC Kaysar, during an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa.

Musa, who enjoyed a successful career in Europe before returning to the Nigerian Premier Football League in 2024, currently combines his playing duties with the role of chairman of Kano Pillars.

Recent reports had claimed that FC Kaysar were keen to strengthen their attack ahead of the new season which begins in March, by signing the former Leicester City winger and reuniting him with former Nigeria teammate Victor Moses.

Moses had joined the Kazakh club during the winter transfer window on a free transfer, after spending seven months without a club. The former Chelsea winger left Luton Town in 2025, before eventually moving to Kazakhstan, marking the 11th senior club of his career.

However, Musa was quick to play down the rumours, describing the claims as totally untrue.

“I don’t know anything about the news”, Musa exclusively told Footy-Africa.

The 33-year-old has already featured 14 times for Kano Pillars in the league this season and is fully focused on helping the four-time NPFL champions retain their top-flight status this season, as they currently sit in the 17th position.
