Zambia international striker Patson Daka has completed his move to German Bundesliga side Hamburger SV, signing a one-year contract with an option to extend for a further year, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
The 27-year-old successfully completed his medical examinations and is expected to be officially unveiled by the club on Tuesday, according to sources.
“He is doing medicals today and will be unveiled tomorrow or Wednesday,” the source have told Footy-Africa..
Daka joins Hamburger SV after leaving Leicester City, where he spent five seasons following his move from RB Salzburg in 2021.
During his time with the Foxes, the Chipolopolo captain made 165 appearances, scored 29 goals and provided 18 assists. He also won the FA Community Shield, helped Leicester secure promotion back to the Premier League by winning the EFL Championship title, and leaves as the club’s all-time leading scorer in European competitions with six goals.
He has been at the center of transfer speculation for a while but the Zambian has now settled for German football as he returns to the topflight.
