Nigeria has continued to produce some of Africa’s finest footballers over the years, with many of them going on to make a name for themselves in Europe and across the continent.
Their impressive performances at both club and international level have seen their market values rise very well, placing them among the most valuable players in their respective positions.
In this article, we take a look at the five most valuable Nigerian footballers in the world and how much they are currently worth.
Victor Osimhen (€65 million)
Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen ranks as the most valuable Nigerian footballer in the world with a market value of around €65 million, which also places him as the fifth most valuable African footballer in the world.
Osimhen was previously valued at €75 million although his market value dropped after the latest rankings were released. The 27-year-old has developed into one of the best players in the world over the last few years, reaching new feats with his performances at Galatasaray.
He has already scored six times in just four appearances this season and will be targeting a return to action soon after an injury layoff.

Bassey has developed into a key player for Fulham since joining the club and has already taken up a more prominent role this season under head coach Alvaro Arbeloa, taking up the role as the club’s captain.

Zadok Yohanna (€25 million)

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a remarkable rise in his career over the last year, moving from Nigeria to playing in the English Premier League.
Yohanna enjoyed a stunning rise at Swedish side AIK in 2025 and eventually joined Brighton in a deal worth up to €30 million during the summer and will now be hoping for a big impact at the Seagulls.

Tolu Arokodare (€22 million)
Tolu Arokodare completes this list with a market value of €22 million.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed a superb start to the season at Ajax, after joining the club from Wolves on a season-long loan deal.
The Super Eagles forward had endured a disappointing season at Wolves during the 2025-26 season and will hope his start to life at Ajax can help boost his market value and move him higher up the rankings.
