Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi has become a subject of intense transfer speculation this summer., with doubts over his long-term future at Turkish club Besiktas.
The 29-year-old joined the Black Eagles last summer after ending his stay at Leicester City and eas one of their best performers of the campaign, despite the club failing to win a major piece of silverware.
Ndidi immediately became a mainstay in the middle of the park and was even appointed to the club’s leadership group for the season. However, the arrival of a new head coach earlier in the summer, with Vincenzo Italiano coming into the club, has raised more doubts over his future.

Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia)
Saudi Pro League giants Al Ittihad are one club that are very keen on signing the Super Eagles captain this summer. After failing in their pursuit of Raphael Onyedika, they have quickly identified Ndidi as a suitable alternative to bolster the midfield ahead of next season.
Al Ittihad are keen on replacing veteran midfielder Fabinho, who left the club when his contract expired last season, and Ndidi is viewed as a player that can bring leadership qualities and experience to help strengthen the team.

Premier League club Manchester United have also shown strong interest in signing Ndidi at one point this summer, as they continue to target midfield reinforcements ahead of their return to the UEFA Champions League next season.
The Red Devils’ interest comes from the need to replace Brazilian midfielder Casemiro, who has joined MLS side Inter Miami after his contract expired at the end of last season. They have already missed out on a number of top targets, and are keen on adding Ndidi as an experienced option ahead of next season.
Al Diriyah (Saudi Arabia)
Newly promoted Saudi Pro League side Al Diriyah could also end up as a potential destination for Ndidi if a fee can be agreed between the club and Besiktas.
The Saudi club are keen on enjoying a long term stay after their promotion to the top flight, which is why they have made Ndidi their top target for the summer. The club have already reportedly sent an official offer to Besiktas for the Super Eagles midfielder and could get the green light for a deal if their offer is accepted.

AFC Champions Al Ahli are another Saudi Pro League side that could end up signing Ndidi this summer. While their interest has faded off, they could revive their pursuit if Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie pushes for an exit this summer.
The need to replace Kessie could then see them step up their interest, and Ndidi provides valuable experience and presence in the midfield to bolster their team ahead of next season.
